My Programs

I've written a few applications that I'm willing to share. Some of them are insecure, and some of them are just silly and quick. If, however, they sound as if they might give you some use, please feel free to download and use them. Most of what I write is written in Visual Basic .NET or C#.NET. I've also cobbled things in PHP, Java, ASP, and various other widgety things, but you probably won't find those here! You can also see a portfolio of other things I've made below the downloadable software.

• Charis SIL IPA Font Keyboard Layout for Windows - A Windows keyboard layout that allows you to type in IPA with the Charis SIL font without using a character palette.
• Remember the Milk Keyboard Shortcuts Hints (Greasemonkey Script) - Adds keyboard shortcut information to the top of your Remember The Milk pages.
• Dash Timer - A visual, repeating, countdown timer for work 'dashes.'
• Foreign Language Flash Card Application - For Windows Mobile and Windows XP/Vista, targeted mostly for Japanese vocabulary and Kanji memorization. Uses XML files that are transferrable between the desktop and mobile app. Mostly working now, but I have plans for this one to get better!

Portfolio

These are applications which I've worked on or written that I can't release in any form, but can serve to provide at least some example of my work.

• Accounting Database - I wrote the accounting database for my employer to balance store sales and cash received, as well as a variety of reports that pull from it. SQL 2000 + Access 2003
• Database Loader - To simplify deployment of databases, I wrote an application which sits on the desktop, uses ClickOnce to automatically look for updates for itself, and whose entire purpose is to look for new versions of the company databases. VB.Net 2.0
• Part Sales Analysis Tool - Helps to identify how many of a part needs to be stocked in a store, based on its sales and order rate from the warehouse.
• Live Inventory Tool - Reporting application to track incorrect inventory in a store.
• Arbitrary File FTP Downloader - Downloads any arbitrary file and performs file archive operations on the server and local host, and optionally performs deeper processing on the file.
• Warehouse Database - Tracks invoices from warehouse orders against pick orders to identify what parts of an order were not actually in stock, as well as warehouse employee time metrics.
• I.T. Wire Mapping Database - Maps wire routes for serial cables numbering in the several hundreds.
• Outlook 2003/2007 Timesheet Tracker - Basic tool to manage timesheets and mileage reporting as Journal entries.
• I.T. System Configuration Snoop - Tool deployed automatically to client machines to assist in inventory management.
• Frontline Glass - Helena's Largest Glass, Window and Door Specialist.
